A storm has cut the island of Vik off from the Scottish mainland.

The postman has been shot.

And he’s in Mrs Hubbard’s ice-cream freezer.

Newly divorced Penny Moon has only just arrived on the island to start a weight-loss group when the murder turns the community upside down. With the ferry cancelled and the police stuck on the mainland, the investigation isn’t going anywhere.

Which leaves Penny and her class to deal with the problem themselves.
